Workflow depth

Choose the workflow depth that fits how you plan jobs.

Every plan starts with the same core job-planning step: enter window measurements, compare roll widths, review material numbers, and generate the cut plan.

Solo keeps the focus there.

Shop workflow

What Shop adds to the workflow

Shop is not just a larger cut-plan allowance. It connects the material plan to more of the job information a shop uses before quoting, ordering, or sending work details forward.

Plan around the film you actually use

Save film details, roll widths, pricing, cost, warranty, and manufacturer information so each job can start from your real catalog.

Use film you already have

Plan around partial rolls or available film before ordering more material.

Carry pricing assumptions into the job

Save tax behavior, removal rates, attachment rates, and default pricing details so quote setup is less repetitive.

Create cleaner job output

Keep customer info, selected film, notes, material numbers, cut results, quote summary, and project detail output connected to the same job.

Feature guide

What the plan features actually do.

Precision Film Systems starts with a cut plan, then adds more job context as you move into the Shop workflow. Use this as a plain-English reference for the plan details.

Core planning

Monthly cut plans

A cut plan is used when you create a new optimized plan from a set of window measurements. You can reopen the saved result, review the diagrams, print, and compare available roll views without using another cut plan unless the job inputs change.

Core planning

Unique window sizes per job

Unique sizes are the different width and height combinations in a job. Repeated windows use quantity, so a house with ten matching panes can still count as one unique size.

Roll planning

Single-roll and multi-roll planning

Single-roll planning shows how the job lays out on one selected roll width. Multi-roll planning compares or combines roll widths so you can reduce waste, match the material you have, or choose the best roll before ordering.

Roll planning

Film on hand roll planning

Shop lets you enter available roll widths and film on hand details, including partial rolls. That helps you plan around inventory before buying more film or cutting into a fresh roll.

Outputs

Material metrics, diagrams, and cut lists

Every plan shows practical numbers like linear feet, total area, efficiency, and waste. The cut diagram and window cut list turn those numbers into a crew-ready reference for the person cutting film.

Shop workflow

Film Catalog

Save commonly used films with their details so jobs can reference the right product consistently. This keeps film selection connected to the quote, project notes, and planning output.

Shop workflow

Sun Map

Add sun exposure context to a project so product choices and job notes are easier to explain later. It gives the planning record more field context than measurements alone.

Shop workflow

Pricing defaults

Set common quoting defaults such as tax, removal, attachment, and rate assumptions. The goal is to reduce repetitive quote setup and keep job pricing more consistent from one project to the next.

Shop outputs

Job details, quote summary, and project detail sheet

Shop connects customer/job information, selected film, notes, material numbers, and planning results into cleaner review pages and printable outputs for quoting, handoff, or internal records.

Questions
What is a monthly cut plan?

You use 1 monthly cut plan when you create a new cut plan from a set of window measurements. Any changes in window quantities, sizes, or rows will result in another monthly cut plan being used.

What does one monthly cut plan include?

One monthly cut plan gives you access to the available planning results for that same job input, including single-roll, multi-roll, and roll-size options.

You can reopen the results, review the cut plan, print diagrams, change roll-size views, and compare available options without using another monthly cut plan.

When do I use another monthly cut plan?

You use another monthly cut plan only when you change the job inputs, such as adding or removing windows, changing dimensions, or changing quantities, and then create a new cut plan.

Do add-on monthly cut plans renew monthly?

No. Add-on monthly cut plans are one-time purchases. They expire 6 months after purchase and are used only after your plan's included monthly cut plans are used.

What workflow does Shop add?

Shop carries the cut plan into film on hand planning, Film Catalog, Sun Map, pricing defaults, Job Details, Quote Summary, and Project Detail Sheet output. It is built around the same job path many shops already use: measure the job, choose the film, calculate material needs, prepare pricing, and keep the job information organized.

How does Shop help with quoting?

Shop connects the cut plan to the quoting side of the job. You can save film details, set pricing defaults, enter job information, review material totals, and build a Quote Summary from the same project information used for the cut plan.

What job paperwork does Shop include?

Shop includes job-focused output tools such as Job Details, Quote Summary, and the Project Detail Sheet. These help organize the project information, material metrics, selected film, notes, and planning results in a cleaner format for review, printing, or customer-facing preparation.
